E911 Anywhere™ Enterprise Components and Architecture
E911 Anywhere™ Enterprise has two primary components: a location information server (LIS) and the E911 Anywhere™ voice positioning center (VPC).
The LIS is the on-premise software that is installed on a server in the enterprise.
The LIS tracks the location of phones inside and outside the enterprise in real
time and sends up-to-date location information to the E911 Anywhere™ VPC.
The VPC (Voice Positioning Center) stores and validates all location information
and, when a 911 calls is made, the VPC accepts the call, retrieves the location
associated with the call and forwards the call to the correct PSAP using a national
selective router network.
