E911 Anywhere™ Enterprise - Requirements

E911 Anywhere™ Enterprise has two basic requirements: an IP call server capable of sending a 911 call over an IP connection and an Internet connection to access the E911 Anywhere™ Enterprise Web portal. The IP call server and the 911 call path
E911 Anywhere™ requires an IP call server that is capable of outputting a 911 call over an IP trunk or IP broadband connection (T1, Cable modem, MPLS, etc.). The 911 call is sent to E911 Anywhere™ service over a public or private network as a native IP telephone call using SIP signaling. The 911 call arrives at the session border controller of the E911 Anywhere™ service where it is processed. Note: 911 calls can be sent over any connection to the Internet - SIP trunks are NOT required.

The B-2-B interface between the LIS and the E911 Anywhere™ Service
This connection is between the Location Information Server (LIS), which is located within the enterprise and the E911 Anywhere™ VPC. This connection is a secure connection over the Internet using SSH and digital certificates. The LIS tracks phone movements and uses the B-2-B interface to transmits location record changes to the VPC.
