Location Management for Digital & Analog Phones

E911 Manager™ supports location management for digital and analog phones in a variety of ways, adapting to the particular methods supported by major PBX and call server manufacturers like Avaya, Nortel and Cisco.

Avaya
Avaya uses station screens to manage the location of a moved or added phone using fields for Building, Name, Floor and Room. E911 Manager™ can read these fields from the Avaya station screens automatically, so administrators only have to make changes on the station screens and E911 Manager™ automatically updates the location record (ALI) for the stations.

Nortel
Nortel Meridians (Option 61/81 v23 and CS1000 v 4.5 and later) – Nortel users have typically loaded location information in either the NAME or DES fields in the station screens. The DES field has limited characters, but E911 Manager™ can expand the characters into a complete building, floor and room location. Administrators only have to make changes on the station screens and E911 Manager™ automatically reads the fields and updates the location record (ALI) for the stations with the local LEC.

Cisco
Cisco Call Manager (v4.1.3 – 6.1) – ALI records for analog phones are created manually in E911 Manager™ and uploaded to LEC ALI databases.
